Ted Dawson

Ted Dawson wildcrafts a variety of medicines through his company, Mountain Wintu Herbs. He is an ethnobotanist, storyteller and wisdom keeper. Ted will be teaching plant medicine making, native cooking, tanning a medicine bag and sharing traditional songs and teachings.
"My grandmother is Nor Rel Muk Wintu, descendant of the first Californians. She has taught me about herbal healing and native plants since I was a child. I grew up in northern California, between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta."
Workshop Offerings
Medicine Making/Plant ID - make and take home Fire Cider, Poison Oak remedy, One tincture. Will we do this class twice on in the morning early in the week and one in the afternoon later in the week. $50.00 materials fee.
Medicine Bags. Make a medicine bag by tube skinning and brain tanning a fox, squirrel, or mouse. $30.00 materials fee.
Cedar wood burned spoons, chop sticks. - Learn to make primitive cutlery through carving and coal burning.
Cooking Wild Game Using Traditional Methods. - Salmon, Venison, Buffalo all you can eat for participants of the class. $5 fee for a serving of game without class attendance.
