MICHELLE LOPEZ
Michelle is skilled as a wildlife biologist, a southern California butterfly specialist, a mother and has ties to the native ancestry of this land. She does food workshops out of her home, local events and group workshops. Her passion is to empower people to cook, preserve and ferment in-season veggies and fruit, that help aid in digestion and nutrition while optimizing the bounty of local produce we grow and receive living here in southern california. It is her intention to reignite the connection we once had with the elements, ancestors and the microorganism that exist all around us. She does this by fermenting homemade sauerkraut, pickles, kimchi, beet kvass ,salsa, kombucha, mead, ginger ale, ginger beer, root bear, fruit sodas and crafting her own body care products and herbal medicine.
